Happy Samhain!

happy Samhain everybody!
i did my ritual earlier. it was lovely. nice and peaceful.
to begin with, i remembered the dead. that's what samhain is all about. i then lit 5 orange candles and i invoked the goddess and the god. i then spoke some words about the god passing into death. then i expelled my anger by burning paper with "anger" written on it. i feel much happier now. then i spoke more words, thanked the goddess and god, and opened my circle.
to be true, this should be written in a book of shadows. but i don't have one - yet! but i'll make do.
did all you people know that hallowe'en actually means all hallows eve? no? didn't think so! basically its when all the ghosties come out to play. ha ha. but its when the border between life and death is at its thinest.
has any of you had any trick or treaters yet? i haven't.
